Tap. Scan. Connect.
Tap. Scan. Connect.
A simple way to connect your customers to what matters most.
You've probably scanned a QR code before—but did you know your customers can also simply tap their phone to connect with your business?
At BloomLine Designs, we create custom QR and NFC products that make sharing your digital information simple, quick, and beautiful.
Whether you want customers to leave a review, follow you on social media, book an appointment, view a menu, connect to Wi-Fi, make a payment, or visit your website, we can help turn an everyday sign or accessory into an easy connection point.
So… What's the Difference?
They're two different ways to accomplish something very similar.
SCAN IT — QR Codes
A QR code is the familiar square code you can scan using your phone's camera.
Your customer simply:
Open Camera → Point → Tap the Link
That's it!
Depending on your product, your QR code can connect customers to things like your:
Website
Instagram or Facebook
Google review page
Booking or appointment page
Digital menu
Payment link
Contact information
Wi-Fi information
Event information
Photo upload page
Online shop
Or almost any other compatible web link
No typing long web addresses. No searching for your business. Just scan and go.
TAP IT — NFC
NFC stands for Near Field Communication, but don't let the technical name fool you—the customer experience is incredibly simple.
An NFC tag is built into select BloomLine Designs products.
With a compatible smartphone, your customer simply holds their phone near the designated area of the product.
Tap → Notification Appears → Open
No camera required.
It's similar to the technology used for tap-to-pay, except instead of making a payment, the tap can open the digital destination you've selected.
Why Have Both?
Because people like options!
Some customers naturally reach for their camera when they see a QR code. Others love the convenience of simply tapping their phone.
Products that include both QR and NFC give your customers two easy ways to reach the same destination.
Scan it or tap it—the choice is theirs.
What Can I Link To?
This is where it gets fun.
Your QR or NFC product isn't limited to social media. We can create products designed to connect people to many different digital destinations.
For Businesses
Send customers directly to reviews, appointment booking, social media, your website, online ordering, payment options, menus, portfolios, contact information, or promotions.
For Events
Connect guests to photo uploads, event details, registries, schedules, menus, social pages, or other event information.
For Rentals & Guest Spaces
Give guests quick access to Wi-Fi, house information, local recommendations, check-in instructions, or other helpful resources.
And those are just a few ideas.
If you have a link, there's a good chance we can help you find a creative way to share it.
We'll Make It Yours
Functional doesn't have to mean boring.
Your QR or NFC product can be customized to coordinate with your business, brand, event, or space. Depending on the product, we may incorporate your:
Logo
Business name
Brand colors
Custom wording
Social media information
QR code
NFC technology
Preferred style or aesthetic
Our goal is to create something that doesn't just work—it looks like it belongs there.
What Do I Need to Provide?
Don't worry—you don't need to know anything technical.
We'll guide you through what we need for your particular product.
Generally, you'll provide the link you'd like customers to reach along with any personalization, logo, colors, or design information needed for your order.
We'll take care of creating the QR code and/or programming the NFC component when applicable.
If a design proof is required, you'll have an opportunity to review your design and verify your information before we begin production.
What If I'm Not Sure What Link I Need?
That's okay!
Tell us what you'd like your customers to be able to do.
Maybe it's:
"I want customers to leave me a Google review."
"I want people to book an appointment."
"I want guests to upload their wedding photos."
"I want customers to find my Instagram."
You don't need to know the technical terminology. Tell us the goal, and we'll help determine what information we need from you.
A Quick Note About NFC Compatibility
Most modern smartphones support NFC, but compatibility can vary depending on the phone, settings, operating system, and device configuration.
That's one reason we love products that combine NFC + QR—if someone doesn't have NFC enabled or prefers not to use it, they can simply scan the QR code instead.
Ready to Make Connecting Easier?
Whether you're building your business, planning an event, welcoming guests, or simply looking for a better way to share information, we'd love to help you create something that's both beautiful and useful.
Have an idea but aren't sure how to make it work?
Tell us what you want your customers or guests to be able to do—we'll help with the rest.
